Enjoy National Absurdity Day

According to the National Day Calendar, National Absurdity Day is observed annually on November 20.
This day was created as a day to recall and note some of the entirely off the wall and ridiculous things in history, in our country, and in our lives. National Absurdity Day is also a day to have fun and do crazy, zany, and absurd things. Everyone has an excuse today to let out the silly antics hidden inside them. You can do things that you have wanted to do that make absolutely no sense at all, and it will be okay because you will be celebrating National Absurdity Day.

Absurdity can be defined as a lack of good judgment, as exemplified by a stroll among the cactus while wearing nothing more than one's birthday suit (photo by Andrew Johnson).
It can also be defined as whimsy, as depicted in this fun and joyful glass art entitled "Mardi Gras" by Ruth Cornell.

Or it can be a kooky conversation with a cat in pink pants. Come celebrate absurdity at the Sedona Artist Market, open 10 to 5 every day.
