Jim Green and the Natural World

Landscape and wildlife photographer Jim Green bought his first real camera at the PX in South Vietnam while serving in the US Marine Corps and has been hooked ever since. In awe of the natural world since he was very young, Jim does his best to capture his subject as close to reality as possible. Jim is a member of Sonoran Arts League and has photos displayed in several venues in the Cave Creek area. Stop by the Sedona Artist Market any day from 10-5 to see more of Jim's photography!

Chant at the Moon Day

Legend has it harvesting cherries just prior to a full moon makes Stemilt’s moon cherries sweeter and more complex in flavor because the tree’s roots are benefitting from the extra gravitational pull from the moon. World Elephant Day

Feline Good!

(Julia's boy, Gus!) August 8 is International Cat Day (we're posting early so you can start celebrating in advance)! The staff at Sedona Artist Market have a great appreciation for our feline friends. While it may not be quite as intense as that of the ancient Egyptians, who held cats in the highest esteem and worshipped a cat goddess whom they called Bastet, we remain ardent admirers. Sedona Artist Market welcomes Jessie Russo, who has just moved in with her collection of flag sets. Jessie, who has lived in Sedona for the past six years, combines sacred geometry and animals on her flags.
